Arsenal's title hopes were reignited at a sold-out Emirates Stadium as Jonas Eidevall's side cruised to a 3-1 win over Manchester United.

The Gunners made a statement with a dominant performance, with goals from Vivianne Miedema, Frida Maanum and Katie McCabe securing the victory.

United started brightly but Arsenal soon took control, with Miedema opening the scoring in the 15th minute. Maanum doubled the lead just before half-time with a stunning strike from outside the area.

McCabe added a third in the second half to all but seal the points, before Alessia Russo pulled one back for United in the closing stages.

The win moves Arsenal up to second in the Women's Super League table, two points behind leaders Chelsea with a game in hand.

United remain in fifth place, but their hopes of a top-three finish are fading.

Fans stage protest at full-time

A section of Arsenal fans staged a protest at full-time, calling for the club to provide more support for the women's team.

The fans held up banners and chanted slogans, calling for more investment in the team, including a new stadium and better training facilities.

The protest was met with mixed reactions from other fans, with some supporting the cause and others arguing that the club is already doing enough to support the women's team.
